Middlesex Community College Presents Sylvia Goldstein in a ˇ°A Musical Journey In Time and Spaceˇ±
On Monday, April 28, at 12:20 p.m., Middlesex Community College (MxCC) will present an hour long lecture/recital by pianist Sylvia Goldstein. Goldstein will help MxCC celebrate International Week by performing works by Haydn (Austria), Chopin (Poland), Albeniz (Spain), Khachaturian (Armenia), Lecuona (Cuba), Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel (Germany), Joplin (USA), and Gershwin (USA).
Sylvia F. Goldstein is a pianist, teacher and composer. She is the Piano/Keyboard Department Chair of the Hartford Conservatory, where she teaches classical piano and theory.
Goldstein studied at the Juilliard School of Music, Preparatory Division and attended Cornell University, where she studied piano with John Kirkpatrick. She has a BA in music, cum laude, from Brandeis University and an MA in music from the University of California at Berkeley.
The program is being held in the handicapped accessible student lounge, in Founders Hall, Middlesex Community College, 100 Training Hill Road, with ample free parking.
