Middlesex Community College (MxCC) held its annual International Holiday Celebration on Wednesday, December 4th. The event, which has run for about ten years, is a chance for MxCC students, especially those who are part of the English as a Second Language (ESL) program, to share with their peers and the community some of the ways their native countries celebrate the holidays through posters, displays, and food. Countries represented at the event were Ecuador, Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Turkey, Germany, Pakistan, India, Haiti, China, Italy, Poland, Columbia, Mexico, and the Ile de Reunion. There was also a display dedicated to the celebration of Hanukkah. The children from the MxCC preschool came to the event and got a surprise visit from Santa Claus.
