Middlesex Hospital Holding Radiology Department Open House

MIDDLETOWN – In partnership with Middlesex Community College (MxCC) in Middletown, the Radiology Department of Middlesex Hospital is holding an Open House on Friday, Nov. 10, at 5:30 p.m., in the North 1 Conference Room of the hospital.

The partnership between the hospital and the college allows students to earn an associate degree by taking core courses at MxCC and doing clinical training through the hospital and its clinical sites.

Elaine Lisitano, Program Director of the School of Radiologic Technology said, “The open house is not only for students that might want to become applicants, but also for families of present students to learn about the clinical environment and the expectations of the staff and faculty. It is important that families learn about the training so that they can better understand the intense 27 month training period. Many of our students are non-traditional students who will need financial and familial support.”

Judy Wallace, MxCC’s Program Coordinator and advisor for the radiology program, in describing the radiology program said, “It’s bringing the best of two institutions together for the benefit of the community.”
