MxCC Hosts Workshop with National Education Expert

Recently, Middlesex Community College (MxCC) hosted “Coaching Skills and the Habits of Mind,” a workshop featuring author and National College and Career Expert, Carol J. Carter. The event, organized by Middlesex professor, Donna Bontatibus included attendees from colleges and universities around the state.

The workshop focused on different learning styles and what professors can do to help students reach their individual learning potential with innovative coaching techniques. Carter used individual and group exercises to teach new skills and encourage discussion among the attendees on how they could better reach each student in their classrooms.
