When you go to
Click the box next to where it says NetID and enter your NetID. Click the box next to password, enter the password. Click Login button.
NetID:
For student, your NetID is written as BannerID@student.commnet.edu. Banner ID is your student ID granted after you are admitted to the college. Your Banner ID can be found on all of your official school documents. It is the number that begins with an @ sign followed by 8 numbers. It should look something like this: @01234567. You can also get help on how to find your Banner ID number by contacting the Records Office in Room 153, Founder's Hall, 860-343-5724. For example, if your student ID is @01234567, then your NetID is written as 01234567@student.commnet.edu.
Password:
Your NetID password is the same password you may have used when you logon to a campus computer at any of 12 Connecticut community colleges. This password expires every 90 days. The password is more than 8-character in length*. If you have never logged on to a campus computer, the initial password is the combination of your first 3 letters of birth month (capitalize the first letter) and last four digit of your social security number.
For example, if you are born in April and the last four digits of your social security number are 4575, then your initial password is Apr&4575 (case sensitive).
After you logon with the initial password, you will be prompted to change to a new password. The new password MUST have 8 or more characters and satisfy 3 of the 4 rules as follows:
One example of a new password is Flower07 (case sensitive). Remember; do not use your name or birthday in the new password.

Once you are in myCommNet, click WebCT Vista icon at upper-right
. Click your course name. To go to another course, click MyWebCT (upper right) and click the course name.
You may need to wait for up to 30 seconds to see the MyWebCT page with the list of courses.
Within the 2 weeks priort to a semester and after the semester starts, if you don't see your online class listed in MyWebCT two days after you register the class, you will need to contact the Distance Learning Office at: 860-343 -5822 or 860-343-5783.
If you cannot get in myCommNet at my.commnet.edu, there are two things you can do.
ONE
If you have logged on to a campus computer or have gone to myCommNet at http://my.commnet.edu to register a class, check your grades, you might have changed your password and do not remember it.
You can attempt to change your password to a new one at https://www.commnet.edu/netid/password.aspx.
There are four steps to create a new NetID password:
Step 1, enter your NetID and click Next.
Step 2, enter the last four digits of your social security number and your birth date, click Next.
Step 3, answer the security question, click Next. If the answer you have entered is incorrect, you need to skip the step 4 and go directly to TWO to see how to have your password RESET.
Step 4, create a new password.
If this does not work you will have to use approach TWO to have your password reset to your initial password.

If you have trouble logging in with the NetID and password, stop by the following offices with your Photo ID (student ID or Driver's liscence) to have your password reset to your birthdate within the office hours, Mon-Fri, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

For online students who are unable to come to campus during our office hours, a. FAX your request with a photo ID to (860) 344 – 7488. Write down and provide with the following in your FAX: Attention to: Distance Learning, your name, Banner ID, phone#, birth date, last four digit of your social security number, requesting to have your NetID password reset, signature, and Photo ID (Student ID or Driver’s License). After you FAX the request, notify Distance Learning staff at mxccedtech@gmail.com. Your request will be processed during Distance Learning office hours. b. Your may also use this Password Reset Form and FAX your request to the Record's Office at 860-344-3055.
Password Changes
In order to change your NetID password (password to logon to your online class or WebCT class site), you MUST change it in myCommNet at my.commnet.edu. After you log on to myCommNet, click Change Password link (upper-middle).
