What is Blackboard ?
Blackboard is an Internet-based
application which allows instructors to put class materials on the Internet. It provides a
variety of tools to facilitate teaching and learning. Starting summer of 2008, all online classes at MxCC
use Blackboard Vista. Some “on-ground” classes also use Blackboard Vista as a supplemental tool to
enhance face-to-face teaching. The basic tools used in a Blackboard Vista course include
syllabus, Learning Module, discussions, calendar, email, announcements, grade
book, exams, and assignments.
