Learning Module - View Files

View multimedia instruction

Class files are usually organized in the Learning Module that might be labeled as Course Content, Assignments, Welcome, etc.

1. Click a learning module such as Assignments. You enter the Table of Contents page. There are two windows, one lists the file titles and the other will display a file you selected.

2. When the file navigation window is too narrow, you may enlarge it by dragging the vertical line between the two windows.

3. When you see a + sign next to a file title, you need to click on it to see more files. To view a file, click the file title on the left window. You will see the file on the right window. To navigate to various files, just click a file title on the left window.

4. Another way of navigating files is to click on next page icon (green right arrow at upper right) to view the next file or click previous page icon (left green arrow at upper right) to view the previous file.

5. To go back to the course Home Page from a learning module page, click the Homepage link or the Course Content icon at the upper left corner.

Tips

• For a web based file such as ".html", ".gif", or ".jpg" file, you see the file right away when you click the file title.
• For non-web based files such as ".pdf", ".rtf", ".doc", or ".ppt" file, when you click the file title, you will be asked either to Open or Save the file.
• When you select Open, the file is opened in a separate window by its corresponding application. For example, a ".rtf" file is opened by MS Word.

* If you don't see any files listed in the Learning Module, you may check Mail, Calendar, or Discussions to see if your instructor has posted specific assignments.
