Post a Discussion Message to Start a Thread

Here is how to post a message to start a new thread.

1. Enter the discussion board by clicking the Discussions icon (located in Course Tools).

2. Enter the discussion topic board by clicking a topic name.

3. Click on Create Message to open the message window.

4. Enter the message subject in the Subject box.

5. Type the message in the Message box.

6. Before posting, you can review the message by clicking on Preview.

7. When you are ready, click on Post. Your message will be displayed as the first message on the discussion board.

8. To read the message you just posted, click on the Subject of the message.
