View multimedia instruction Discussions Setup
1. To enter the discussion board, click on the Discussions icon
located in Course Tools (at left). The discussion window will display the discussion topics with total number of messages and New messages on the discussion board.
2. When you click on a discussion topic, you will see a list of message threads with Subject, Messages, Author, and Date.
3. WhenThreaded is in place (the default setting), the messages are listed by threads (by conversation) with the most recent thread at the top. When
Unthreaded is selected, the messages are listed in chronological order (by time posted) with the most recent message at the top.
4. WhenUnread is in place, you will see only unread messages. When
All is selected, you will see all messages in this topic.
5. To view all messages in a thread, click on the Display Complete Thread icon. In a new window, you will see all messages in the thread .
6. By default, up to 10 message threads are listed in the Messages page. Click on the Next Page icon to display additional threads.
*A thread is a series of messages on a subject. A threaded view allows you to see the discussion topic and all the related replies.
