Your instructor may ask you to post an assignment as an attachment on the Discussion Board. You need to attach the assignment file to a message posted on the Discussion board.
For submitting assignments or sharing class work with others, you should use a format that all students and your professor can open the file. Although you may attach files of any format, the file may need to be opened with an application that others do not have on their computer. The suggested format for a Word file is .rtf (Rich Text Format) and for an image file is .jpg or .gif.
1. Enter the Discussion Board by clicking the Discussions icon(located in Course Tools).
2. Click a discussion topic such as Week 1 Discussions.
3. Click Create Message to open the message window.
4. Type the subject in the Subject box.
5. Type the message in the Message box.
6. Click Add Attachments. Click My Computer and then locate the file.
7. The file will be loaded and will appear as an attachment below the Add Attachments button.
8. Click Post.
9. Your message, with the attached file, will be posted. In the message list, you will see the attached file icon.
* Before you attach a file, scan the file by a virus protection software to make sure that the file is virus-free.
