The Career Development and Counseling Center at Middlesex Community College provides both direct referral to selected job opportunities and informational resources to assist students and alumni in their job search.
There are a number of ways in which the center may assist you in contacting employers. These include job listings, on-campus recruitment, and local/regional professional directories.
Each year employers from business, nonprofit and educational sectors forward job listings to the Center. Many of these listings are professionally oriented, while others may provide students with a part/full-time income while attending school. The job listings are posted cards outside of the main office (Founders, 121). To get additional information on a specific job, come into the office to obtain a more comprehensive description or simply log on to Career Central Network to obtain current job opportunities.
From time to time, companies will contact the Center to arrange to meet with students for an initial screening interview on campus. Please watch the board outside of Founders 121 for updates to this list.
Within the Career Development and Counseling Center library there are a number of resources that may assist you in identifying employers within your field. These books contain overview information on the employer to whom you may directly contact.
The Center hosts a Career Fair in the spring semester. A variety of companies and organizations attend this event. Please call the Center at 860-343-5826 for additional information.
