Admissions: Academic Advising

Academic Advising

At Middlesex Community College, we believe that every student is unique. We take pride in our ability to help you achieve your personal goals. In order to do this, we assign each degree-seeking student an academic advisor.

Prior to registering for classes, you must arrange a time to meet with your advisor. During this meeting, you will discuss your academic performance, your goals, and the classes in which you are interested.

Course selections must be approved by your advisors. Advisors should also be consulted about academic problems, changes in academic plans, and graduation requirements. New students will meet with an advisor during walk-in registration.

If you change your degree program you have the option of changing your advisor for one in your new program or you can remain with the same advisor.

It's your education; it's your choice.
