  • Part-Time Lecturers (Adjunct Faculty)- Continuous Recruitment

    English-Developmental Reading & Writing (all levels) and College Composition-A Master’s Degree in English or related field providing successful completion of graduate-level English courses, teaching experience is required.

    Science-Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry (Course descriptions can be found on-line.)   A Master's Degree in the discipline or a related field providing successful completion of graduate-level science courses in the discipline, teaching experience is required. 

    Veterinary Technology- Small Animal Veterinary Technology, Large Animal Veterinary Technology, and Principles of Pharmacology for Veterinary Technicians (Course descriptions can be found on-line.)   A Master's Degree or higher in Animal Science or a related field or DVM/VMD that demonstrates successful completion of relevant graduate-level courses, teaching experience is preferred.

The college has an ongoing interest in applicants for future part time teaching opportunities (day, evening and weekends).  If you would like to be considered for the MxCC adjunct applicant pool, please read and follow the Application Procedure above. For adjunct faculty (part-time lecturer) positions, the letter of intent should include the name(s) of the course or courses that you are interested in teaching.  The list of courses offered at Middlesex can be found at  mxcc.edu/coursedescriptions

Minimum Qualifications:
In addition to the understanding of the community college mission and ability to work with multiple constituencies mentioned above, the minimum qualification for all teaching positions is a Master's degree in the discipline.  A preferred qualification is two years of experience teaching in the discipline at the college level.  Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications as stated must put in writing precisely how their experience has prepared them for the responsibilities of the position.

Minimum Salary:
$1,402 per contact/credit hour
