Instructor, Mathematics (2 positions), 10 -Month Tenure Track

Anticipated Starting Date: August 25, 2010

Minimum Qualifications: MS or a MEd degree in Mathematics/Mathematics Education with a minimum of 0 to 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a community college setting. Experience and success in teaching developmental math is preferred.

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Mathematics Division Chair, this individual’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to teaching full-time (12 credits) in mathematics, preferably developmental courses. Additional responsibilities include related curriculum/course development projects; commitment to innovative instructional approaches and current instructional techniques; integration of instructional technology; distance learning course development and delivery; teaching in a self-paced or other alternative educational environment; advise students; serve on college committees; maintain membership in professional organizations and develop liaisons with colleagues in the field; undertake other service responsibilities related to a full-time faculty position and consistent with the mission of the college and the goals of the division.

Minimum Salary: $46,316 annual

Minimum Qualifications: A Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology or Management Information Systems with a minimum of 0 to 2 years teaching experience, preferably in a community college setting. Demonstrated instructional experience in computer technology may include: computer programming, computer networking, operating systems, database design, and computer applications. Experience and success in distance learning is preferred. Work related experience in the field of information systems is highly desired.

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Business Division Chair, this individual’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to teaching full-time (12 credits) in information systems and computer application courses. Additional responsibilities include the development of new instructional techniques; integration of instructional technology; course and program development; advise students; serve on college committees; maintain membership in professional organizations and develop liaisons with colleagues in the field; undertake community outreach and other service activities related to a full-time faculty position. Applicants should be committed to the mission of the college—offering education to an extremely diverse, often non-traditional student population-- and consistent with the goals of the division.

Minimum Salary: $46,316 annual

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications for the positions are a Master's degree in the related field and preferably 2 years of teaching experience in such discipline at the college level.

Minimum Salary:
$1,296 per contact credit hour
