The Middlesex Community College Computer Club was launched in January 2009 at the start of the spring semester. The Computer Club provides opportunities for the campus community to learn about various aspects of the IT industry and supports the exchange of information among students who share a common interest in computers. Since its inception the Computer Club has hosted a number of events thanks to the commitment and dedication of its members. Some of our events include the following:

  • Free Computer Clinic - in partnership with the students enrolled in the Introduction to Operating Systems course, members of the Club served students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community an opportunity by diagnosing and repairing their computers free of charge.

  • Gifts of Warmth Drive – Club members collected of hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves, for the guests of the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen. The Middlesex family generously donated three bags of winter articles that helped to give warmth to those in need.

  • Seminar and Demonstrations on the following topics:
  • - How to Build a Computer from Scratch
  • - Cloud Computing
  • - Computer Security
  • - Digital Music
  • - Computer Animation
  • - Careers in Information Technology
  • - Computer and Electronics Recycling Drive that is held annually during Earth week.

The members of the Computer Club are students who share a passion of computer technology and the desire to share their knowledge with others. Besides hosting campus-wide events, the club members also share their expertise with each other during our technology exchange meetings.
